Weekly Letter - July 9, 2012

Family and Friends,

So first off I would like to apologize to my extended Family. President Tilleman has asked that we only send  emails to our imediate family. I would love to recieve emails from you but I probably will have to write back in this email that i send home every week. Sorry, but i know that President Tilleman is an inspired leader and I know that if I obey, like you all told me, then the people in my area will be blessed.

Alright I believe that, that is all of the buisness. =)

This week has been a fantastic week!  We have gotten alot of stuff done and we have been working hard. This week was transfers week. I am now in a normal companionship and it is really nice!

My companion is absolutely an amazing elder, he is so humble and so willing to do what ever the Lord asks of him.  The only down fall about him is that he is from....... Yes, Canada. Edmonton. Which in reality is not really a big downfall =) He is a big boy. He is Bryson Carrick sized and he has a very similar personality.
His name is Elder Flexhaug.  He is 19 he has been out about a year and this is the first time that he has switched an area. He is now the District Leader. He used to landscape for a million dollar company here in Canada. His best friend is serving here in Canada as an AP in our mission. I would not be surprised if Elder Flexhaug become the first Spanish Assistant to the President.

That is pretty much my week this week we have been trying to get in to the swing of a new companionship.

So transfer day we had to bring two elders back to our house to sleep that night, then drop them off at the bus station ( 40 min away) at 530 in the morning.... that was an early morning. Thank heavens that Heavenly Father qualifies those whom he calls. and we recieve a call ( litterally over the phone!!) to take these elders to the airport. it was crazy.

We were a little bit loopy that day. Saturday night we ordered a pizza right before we started our planning session at 9 and ate pizza.

Sunday we went to church.

And now Monday I am here and I am sending an email. =)

I love you all and hope that all is going well for you this week! I love hearing from you.

Weekly Letter - Tuesday July 3, 2012

Well Good morning ... After noon... ( happy Canada Day sunday and monday)

I hear that you all had a fantastic journey down to the arches and river rafting in Moab!! It sounds fantastic. =) but I believe that my week is going to top your week!!

This last week we had two of the people that we had been teaching get Baptized!!!!! and confirmed member of the Church Of JESUS CHRIST of Latter day Saints!! how awesome that is to see people make the first step in following Christ! It was an amazing and busy week!! We had Zone Conference on Thursday and that was amazing! Tomorrow  ( the 4th of July) we have 2 baptismal dates scheduled =) how fantastic is that ?! God really blesses those who are obedient!

Yesterday was alot of fun I am really really stiff and sore but i feel so good! We went and we played Soccer with a ward in Port Coquitlam and we had a lot of fun! I got to play Goalie and i had a blast! I just wish I had my Cleats..... =) ..... We then went and saw one of the ladies that is getting baptized tomorrow and she  is getting a little bit scared because her husband is not a member she just doesn't know what to do. Please PRAY HARD tonight!

Then we went to the mission office beccause my companions had interviews with President. And yesterday we Got transfer Calls. My two companions are Both leaving me! =/ One is going to be my Zone leader (
elder Escobar) and the other is going to vancouver ( elder Rivera) I will be serving with Elder Flexhaug in Burnaby ( im staying in the same place. Elder Flexhaug is going to be the District Leader of our little spanish District.

We then drove home made it to the house after talking with President about 10 o clock ( that seems so late)

Yesterday was a really good day!

Lets see what else can i tell you. I really dont know what else you would like to hear about.

My area is fantastic. My new companion will come from Vancouver on Thursday. We will have 2 other Elders spending the night at our apartment on thursday night. We are going to recieve a new investagator on thrusday as well. who could be baptized the next week if she wants because she has been coming to church for the past few weeks and she basically is already a member =) We are working really closely with our Bishop who is absolutly an amazing man. He works so hard. he was giving kind of a troubling ward but he is working as hard as he can to get it turned back arond!

I really dont have much else to say but i will finish off with a short testimony.

I Know that God is our heavenly father. I know that he loves us so much that he would give his son, a  perfect son, so that we could become spotless. I know that Christ loves us. He pleads with the
Father in our behalf. I know and am so greatful for that knowledge. I know that Families are for ever. I know the Holy Ghost is real and he can change a person in a matter of second. I know that we are here to
learn and to be happy.

GOD lives. Christ Lives.
In the Name of Jesus Christ amen.

I love you guys

Keep smiling
