Good Afternoon Family of mine =)
I hope that this week was really good for all of you! It seems to be that you are all really busy this week =)
Well i want to share a story with you.
I was on Exchanges with Elder Rivera this last Saturday. We had been trying all we could to find new investigators but everything just kept falling through. We had the ward mission leader with us to do like 6
semi solid drop bys and thing just did not work out. so we dropped off the mission leader and that was about 8:30 at night and we were talking with each other as we were driving home, saying what can we do better. We were on our way down the Hill of Royal Oak here in Burnaby and it is a really big hill and you get going really fast down the hill with out even really trying, and to be completely honest I enjoy going fast so in my head i was saying "im going to go fast", and just as i was thinking the stoplight changed and we had to stop and wait. as we were waiting a Cop car pulls next to me in the other lane. i was thinking to my self " Oh great now i have to go slow down the hill. Well the light changes and we are driving down the hill and going slow and at the bottom of the hill there is a cop standing on the side of the Road with a radar gun giving out tickets. so the first miracle that we saw was the Cop being at the top so when i reached the bottom i wouldnt get a ticket. we decided that after that we needed to pray and ask God where we needed to be so we prayed and i had a distinct immage come to my mind from earlier that morning while i was putting drop bys in the GPS that we use. and so i knew the general area so we went there and we found the house and at this time its like 8:45 and we are 5 minutes a way from our house. we pray to Heavenly father giving thanks for guiding us to this house and we go and we knock the Door. the Dog was on the Porch barking its head off, its pitch black outside and this lady sticks her head out the window and says " hello?" and Elder Rivera says " Hi can we come in for 10 minutes and share a message with you?" she lets us in ( we still are not 100 % sure why ) and we Teach about the =Book of Mormon and set up a return appointment. We received 5 new investigators.
Crazy right? to think that all you have to do is to pray to God and he will answer your prayers.
Another really cool experience i had just yesterday was that i taught Gospel Principals... for an hour in spanish. It was cool =) i really had been strugling with my spanish the last couple of weeks and nothing seemed to be going like i wanted.
That has pretty much been my week! Everything is going really well here. Thank you for your support and for your Prayers. I love you lots!
We found out we have a member of the 70 coming to our mission next month. we are all really excited!
Rainy season is about to start here and its getting Cold and wet.
school just started so people here are just sneaking back into a routine as well so i believe that it is going to start picking up over the next couple weeks.
